There are numerous online chat out there that you can use for business transactions for free. Our shop started with Yahoo Chat; mostly just by text exchanges. Thanks to the Internet (and SMS), marketing is easier today than back then when landline is just the means of communication. Facebook and other emerging social sites contributes greatly in advertising your business and making it personal to your clients.
Our business, Roshan Digital Prints and Supplies, aside from selling heat press machines, photopapers and other printed media, also provides services like graphic design, t-shirt prints, mug prints, invitations, etc. Since almost all our services involve Graphics and Images, text chat or online call is not enough. We want a chat software that also shows the ongoing graphic design so that our client even via online chat can also see the graphics, make suggestions or just double-checked the images before we start printing. It's an online collaboration which ensures that we provide the graphic design with the approval of the client without them visiting our shop and at the convenience of their home or office.
So far, the Share Screen feature of Skype does the job. We are able to show the design to our clients online before we start printing the images. Clients can also readily show us their own design so we can give feedback on what's the best way to do for t-shirt print, mug print, invitations, etc.
And it's easy to use. Download Skype and install it in your PC. Create your account with your username and password. To try the Share-Screen , you must have already added a Skype contact. To try, add us up using the username, Roshan Baisa. Once added, right-click on the contact's username and choose Share Screen. You have two options, either share a selected screen or full screen. Note that enabling Share Screen automatically calls the contact. Once answered, your contact can start seeing your screen. If you are currently viewing your design, you Skype contact can also see it thru Share Screen feature.

Featured Article: Marigold Dagupan
A bookstore named Marigold in Dagupan City was featured in Inquirer by Yolanda Sotelo. Reading the article serves an inspiration to a young business-at its infancy in comparison with this bookstore. It is comfortable to know that the things/way they did to survive is what we are practicing also towards our customers. The "patawal" and the extra personal relationships you build with them are really effective in earning the loyalty of your customers . We try, as much as we can, to make sure we deliver our promise on time. Our residence in Dagupan is also near our shop, so we can still serve our customers until 10pm or beyond if the need arises.
This is a great article on a featured business in Dagupan. These success stories serves as inspiration to budding businesses in Dagupan City.

Customer is King!
Nearly half a year since our shop first opened, the number of services we offer have increased to cater the various needs of our customers, all related to digital prints and printed media.
We started as a distributor of heat press machines, buttonpin maker, laminators, CISS/inks, photopapers and transfer papers. In order to support our business partners, it is appropriate that we know how to use our machines so we also provide services on heat press t-shirt printing, mugs and cap printing, buttonpins, keychains, ID and membership cards, and lamination. Our objective is to make sure that our business partners are well-trained before they even pull out their ordered machines.
After two weeks, we added another services in response to some customer's request. We added photoprinting, graphic layout services, and web design.
In anticipation to the May election, we added another service - silkscreen printing. We printed t-shirts for campaign activities. Silkscreen printing also came in handy when we started printing on ID lace when schools started their classes. This is alongside the PVC-based IDs that we produced. We serve schools as far as Baguio City and La Union.
Rizal street is abound with bridal shop and photography services just like Rivera street. To cater a chunk of this market, we also provide printing and design of wedding invitations, wedding tarpaulins, and souvenir items.
After 6 months of operation, we have steadily increased the number of our services in response to customer's needs and feedback. Our simple way of following an important principle - that Customer is King.
Our next project is to put up a 4-color station silkscreen printing and plastisol printing. This time in preparation to upcoming 2010 Barangay election. Hopefully, we will finish it on time as we're just fabricating the machine ourselves. Maybe we can share the design and how we constructed it.

98 days to go before the 2010 Barangay and SK Elections
October 25 is fast approaching and the days before this event will be so busy for the Barangay and SK position candidates. Comelec has extended the SK registration even on weekends to accommodate the new voters. Comelec also updated its voters list, removing almost 6 million voters. If you have a double registration, have lost citizenship or failed to vote in two consecutive elections, you might be among those removed from the Comelec voters list.
We expect another round of campaign jingles, gimmicks, and freebies from the candidates. It will also be interesting how the candidate would adjust now that we have automated elections. But alongside this high tech election polls, campaigning also goes high tech with the exploits of social media like Facebook, Friendster, etc. This is already evident so we expect lots of endorsement from FB pages.
But the conventional approach is still the method that covers the greater number of voters - the masang Pilipino. Radio Ads, TV Ads and celebrity endorsement. But these are not really necessary for Barangay and SK Elections. Because of the smaller voting population for barangays, distribution of freebies and campaign materials like t-shirts, flyers, buttonpins, caps, printed photos, tarpaulins, and keychains will do the job.

Must Love Justin Bieber
School time again. We are working on a thousand IDs of students from different schools here in Pangasinan. But we're not just into IDs, but also sports uniform printing and school logos, we went on introducing another cool stuff for the students - Bagtags.
We have ready made samples and picked up various designs from the net like Transformers, Ironman, Snowwhite, Spongebob, etc. But the bagtag design frequently requested is Justin Bieber, which is not surprising because students are totally amazed with the phenomenal child singer.
